The Firefox Screencap Project: Soeren Hugger Moeller
Today's entry in The Firefox Screencap Project is from Soeren Hugger Moeller. He runs a blog/website at spiri.dk. It's in Danish, but there may be some of you out there who can read it. :-) Take a look at Soeren's screencap to the left (click to see full-size).Soeren writes,
First of all. My extensions are:To participate in The Firefox Screencap Project see here for information. And my theme is Flock 0.2 Alpha (since Flock sucks, but the flock theme rocks :P)
- Allow Right-Click 0.3
- ColorZilla 0.8.3.1
- Disable Targets For Downloads 1.0.1
- DownThemAll! 0.9.9.5.1
- Gmail Notifier 0.5.5.5
- Google Browser Sync 1.0.0.0
- Google Toolbar for Firefox 2.0.20060515W
- IE View 1.2.7
- ListZilla 0.7
- Screen grab! 0.8
- User Agent Switcher 0.6.8
- Web Developer 1.0.2
As it can be seen I have removed the default Firefox search box. I prefer the "real" Google toolbar, and if I want to look something up in Wikipedia I just type 'wp foo' in the address bar - so I see no reason for it taking up space.
My primary reasons for using Firefox are, the possibility to install extensions, and in that way customize the browser almost exactly for your needs. The Web Standards are another reason, I really hate IE for being so ignorant when it comes to the Web Standards. And then of course there are the security matter, though it might not be as big a problem as before Win XP SP2. Last, but not least, I love the tabs :)
