666: Is It Evil? Um, No.
- Apparently, from all accounts, or the lack of them, June 6th, 1906 went off without a hitch.
- The number 666 comes from the book of Revelations, chapter 13, verses 16-18.
And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.I'd say that unless people start getting today's date stamped on their foreheads, we should be alright. My advice is to avoid librarians with their goddamn little due date stampers and you're in the clear. As far as buying and selling, never fear. We have Wal-Mart now. Believe me when I say they're not going to let something as small as not having the mark of satan keep them from selling you something from their glorious crap emporium.
Here is wisdom Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
- An ancient scroll found last year now indicates that the original number of the beast referenced in Revelations was 616. Yes, it's true. The evil number is a fuckin' typo.
