What's New
If you take a look at my blog today, you'll notice three new things that I hope will make it better.
Number one, I now have my del.icio.us account set up to post my daily links to this blog. I've tried various ways to do this. It's very common on WordPress blogs, but there didn't seem to be a way to do it in Blogger other than the long way (collecting the links myself and posting them) or via a javascript in the sidebar (which is what I've been doing up until now). Some people suggested using a combination of FeedBurner, Rmail, and an empty blogger blog, but it seems to require that you perform any number of mystical ablutions to get it to work. I gave up in despair. And then yesterday, I found this, and realised that del.icio.us is already set up to do this for you, sort of. You have to utilize a third party site to get it to work in Blogger, but if you just follow the directions given, it'll work.
The next improvement you can see if you look in the footer of all my posts. I now have a neat row of buttons, making it easy for people to post my stuff to their favorite bookmarking sites. Both the buttons and code came from this post at 3 Spots.
The third and last addition is that of a feedpass button in my "Meta" section in the left sidebar. Feedpass is a new service that takes your existing feed and redirects it to a page where your readers can subscribe to your feed with any of the aggregators listed and also bookmark your blog and/or individual posts to popular social bookmarking sites. Take a look at my feedpass page to see what I mean. Of course, I've left a plain RSS button with the regular feed link for those who want to do it the old fashioned way.
