I'm A Genius And Other Notes
My sister has been bugging me forever to get a MySpace profile. I had never found it all that impressive; but finally a couple of days ago I caved in and made one.
One of the things that had always kept me from joining MySpace was the fact that due to their completely messed up templating system, most people's profiles look like utter crap. I've always been one of those people who thinks that if you can't do it right, don't do it at all.
So I signed up for an account and then began the tedious process of trying to figure out how to style my template. I looked at a few other people's profiles, busted out my Aardvark extension for Firefox, and set to work. Then I decided I needed a cool background, custom contact table and a logo image. So I fired up Paint Shop Pro, found a cool picture of Harry Potter from the Goblet of Fire movie (as played by Daniel Radcliffe), broke out my EyeCandy 5 filter, and voila, 6.25 hours later I had this. Cool, right?
Except for the fact that it was a complete waste of time. I'll probably never use MySpace. I figure I'll keep it around for leaving messages for my sister, and maybe connecting with old friends from college and high school. Meh. If any of my few but faithful readers have MySpace, feel free to add me.
