More Holiday Joy
When I was little, my family and I always sang Christmas carols together. My mother had an old record of Bing Crosby singing some Christmas favorites like "Do You Hear What I Hear" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". We would put it on the record player (I'd give anything to hear those old records again!), bake cookies, and sing while we worked. It's one of my best Christmas memories. As I got older I continued the tradition, going caroling (yes actually braving the cold and singing in public) with my high school choir, and in college with people from my church. Now I find myself too busy and with noone to go caroling with (caroling by oneself would just be odd). I still like to sing the songs to myself, though. The only trouble is remembering the words.
I did a Google search for Christmas carols and came up with several great sites that give you all the lyrics to the popular Christmas songs from the old hymns to more contemporary fare. Christmas-Carols.net has a nice mix of old and newer carols to sing along with. Caroling Corner, however, is by far the most comprehensive, listing almost every carol you can think of.
