Absurdities
Take a look at this. A girl in Alabama was banned from graduation ceremonies at her catholic high school because she's pregnant. The father of the child, however was allowed to participate. The student in question decided to stand up for her rights and attended graduation anyways, called her own name, and walked across the stage. She and her family were then escorted from the ceremony by police. Schools that make policies like this may think that they are discouraging teen pregnancy (which I believe is a noble aim, teens shouldn't be parents), but what they end up doing is encouraging teen mothers to drop out of school. And the double standard regarding the father of the child is just unbelievable. What, did she make the baby herself? Besides that, this teen managed to finish school in spite of her pregnancy. She should be praised, not scorned.
In other news, Reuters reported today on the Cannes Film Festival. They snapped a photo of Miss Europe on the Red Carpet for a film premier. This was the photo:

I realise that a woman's breasts are the only important thing about her (she may even think so, judging from her choice of top) but couldn't they have had the decency to include her face? Nah. Just would have gotten in the way of staring at her chest. *Sigh*.
